The meeting started off with the swearing-in of the newly elected Executive Council members followed by Branch representatives and Hostel representatives for the academic year 2015- ‘16

The gathering was addressed by the honourable Director, Dr. Sivaji Chakravorti and the Dean Students Welfare, Dr.M. L. Joy.

The Executive Council proposed Mathews K Tom for the post of Speaker and M Venkata Akhil for the post of Deputy Speaker of the SAC and they were selected unopposed with the approval of representatives.
It was decided that the SAC Office at the Students’ Amenity Centre will be kept open from 4 PM- 7 PM on all working days after Test 2.
It was decided to convene an SAC General Body meeting after Test 2 to discuss a wide range of issues and chalk out a plan of action for the future.
Phone Numbers and Email-id’s of all the SAC representatives were collected and it was informed that the details and agenda of the next SAC meeting will be intimated by the Speaker through e-mail.
MCA 1^st year Branch Councilor, Mayank came up with the issue of repair of street lights on the way to FB Hostels.

Hostel Affairs Secretary replied that the issue has already been taken up and the Chief Warden has been informed about the same. It was also assured that necessary steps will be taken up to speed up the process.

S-5 Mechanical Branch Councilor, Surya Narayanan requested to publish the Phone Numbers of the Executive Council on all hostel notice boards
- General Secretary replied that the list of phone numbers will be published on all the Notice Boards soon and the SAC app will also be updated in the due course.
