On the 16th of February, FOSSMeet ’23 kicked off with an introductory talk by the free software activist from Pune, Abhijit A.M. The second day witnessed an amalgam of events starting off with a live video conference with Bradley M Kuhn, the President of Software Freedom Conservancy. His talk covered the current issues of software freedom and how developers use free software to create proprietary software around them. FOSSMeet ‘23 had over 150 participants and 13 well known speakers. Talks, hackathons and workshops were well received by the crowd. The event was a platform for both renowned personalities and students to share their thoughts and spread the FOSS ideology.
